Mothers with young children generally struggle to find time to write. Between the demands of looking after children, doing paid work to support the household, and coping with perpetually broken sleep, for many of us, there’s just too much else in the day to squeeze much writing in.
In October, we’re taking the plunge and meeting up for four days in Waikanae, New Zealand. We’re super keen to make it genuinely accessible to writing mothers, with a childcare programme, and scholarships for people on limited incomes.
The Retreat runs from Monday morning, 10am, to Thursday afternoon, 3pm.
You can arrive anytime during the day on Monday, and we will make an official beginning at 3pm. The Retreat will end with a closing circle at 2pm on Thursday.
A childcare programme will run on Monday afternoon, all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The cost is to be finalised. We are hoping to receive enough funding from grants and sponsorship to be able to subsidise the cost for writers on low incomes.
